The facts of the matter, and what to do about them.
ALDIS is Southeast Asia's independent marine assurance and advisory group. We establish what is true about a vessel, a cargo or a casualty — then stand beside you through the decision it demands.
A survey tells you what is. Advisory tells you what it means — and what to do next. Most firms stop at the report. ALDIS is built to carry the finding through to the decision, and the decision through to the outcome.
One group. Three practices. Ten disciplines.
Four moves, in sequence
Each engagement advances a client from raw fact to realised value. Hover a stage to see what it contains.
Every engagement follows the same course
The plot in our hero is not decoration — it is the method. Four waypoints, from first call to verified outcome.
Understand the question
Engagements begin with the commercial question behind the technical one. We scope to the decision you face, not a generic checklist.
Establish the facts
Surveyors, auditors and investigators put independent evidence on the table — photographed, measured, documented to withstand scrutiny.
Counsel the decision
Findings are translated into options, costs and risks in the language of boards, underwriters and credit committees.
Stay for the outcome
We remain engaged through execution — close-out verification, supervision, or expert support — until the result is real.

Judged by outcomes

Start a conversationIndependent since the first instruction.
Founded in Jakarta in 2019, ALDIS grew from a surveying firm into Southeast Asia's independent marine assurance and advisory group — by treating every report as the beginning of the client's problem, not the end of ours.
Built to be believed
ALDIS exists for the moments when an opinion has to hold — in a credit committee, before an underwriter, across a negotiating table, or in proceedings. Our surveyors, naval architects, master mariners and auditors carry no class, yard or ownership affiliations. The finding is the finding.
What changed as we grew was not that standard, but what we do with it. Clients kept asking the question that follows every report: so what should we do? The advisory practices — valuation, due diligence, risk, HSSEQ — were built to answer it, and the projects practice to see the answer through.
Today the group serves shipowners, charterers, insurers, banks, energy companies and ports from Jakarta across nine Southeast Asian states.
We report what we find — never what is convenient.
No affiliations to colour the judgement.
Specialists at the top of their disciplines.
Engaged until the outcome, not the invoice.

Manage the risk before it becomes the incident.
Helping maritime organizations identify, assess, mitigate and manage operational, technical, safety and commercial risks before they become costly incidents.
A structured framework for risk governance
The ALDIS Risk Management Programme (RMP) is a structured framework designed to help shipowners, operators, fleet managers, insurers and maritime stakeholders strengthen risk governance, improve operational resilience and enhance decision-making.
The programme combines independent assessments, operational reviews, technical expertise and practical recommendations — tailored to each client's business objectives, and delivered as a continuing engagement rather than a one-off report.
Six disciplines, one continuous loop
Each component feeds the next — from first identification of a risk to the culture that keeps it managed.
Risk Identification
Systematic identification of operational, technical, HSSEQ and commercial risks across the organization.
Risk Assessment
Evaluation of likelihood, impact and potential consequences, scored on a defensible risk matrix.
Risk Mitigation
Development of practical control measures and action plans, assigned to clear owners and deadlines.
Risk Monitoring
Continuous monitoring of risk indicators and performance trends, with leading-indicator dashboards.
Incident Prevention
Reducing the likelihood of accidents, downtime, claims and losses through proactive intervention.
Continuous Improvement
Building a culture of proactive risk management and operational excellence that compounds over time.
What organizations gain
RMP turns risk from a cost centre into a measurable commercial advantage.
Improved Safety Performance
Reduce exposure to accidents and incidents.
Lower Operational Risk
Identify vulnerabilities before they escalate.
Better Regulatory Compliance
Support compliance with industry standards and requirements.
Enhanced Asset Reliability
Improve vessel performance and asset integrity.
Reduced Insurance Exposure
Support better risk profiles and claims prevention.
Improved Decision Making
Provide management with actionable insights and risk intelligence.
Increased Stakeholder Confidence
Demonstrate commitment to governance and operational excellence.
Stronger Business Resilience
Prepare organizations to manage changing operational challenges.
Built for decision-makers across the value chain
A continuous six-step cycle
RMP is not a single audit — it is a managed cycle that keeps risk under control as your operations change.
Assess
Independent baseline of current risk exposure.
Analyse
Likelihood, impact and root-cause analysis.
Advise
Prioritised, practical recommendations.
Implement
Controls and action plans put into operation.
Monitor
Indicators and trends tracked continuously.
Improve
Lessons embedded; the cycle repeats.
